Chapel Hill Mall

Chapel Hill Mall is located northeast of downtown Akron, Ohio, at the intersection of Howe Avenue and Brittain Road. This is a rather small, traditional but very family-friendly mall. At present it is recovering from the damages caused by a water main break. It was built 1967 by Forest City Enterprises, but now it is owned by CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. The mall sits on a land on which another shop used to be. It belonged to J.J. Bucholzer, who named his development "Chapel Hill", after an old Indian council circle. The main attractions in the area include Don Drumm Studios and Gallery and Hyre Park. This one-storey indoor mall has 860,000 sq. ft. of retail space. It boasts over 100 shops and services, as well as a food court, several fast foods, and some very fine full-service restaurants. It is anchored by JC Penney, Macy's and Sears, but it also includes major retailers such as Old Navy and Steve & Barry's University Sportswear. The mall has accessible prices and is a very popular regional mall, famous for its friendliness.
The mall is quite friendly for parents and children, as it has several restrooms and a full-sized indoor carousel. It also offers stroller rental and free parking. It seems that there are no covered parking lots and no valet parking services available. The mall is usually open from 10 a.m. to 9 a.m. from Monday until Saturday and from noon until 6 p.m. on Sundays. Those who want to work Chapel Hill Mall have many options.
